MUSIC VIDEO: SEAN JAMES 'LIFE'S HARD'
If there was ever a statement that we can all relate to after the whirlwind that was 2020, it’s ‘Life’s Hard’.
Based in Corbin, KY, singer/songwriter Sean James reminds you of something you’d hear in your parents’ record collection. His music is a beautiful blend of rock, folk and country, interwoven with heartbreaking stories you’d expect to hear on an early Springsteen record.
Even more interesting than the stories he tells himself, music isn’t Sean’s primary gig: he’s actually a primary care physician, and what’s more surprising is that he has an entire album that he previously recorded at La La Land Studios (Louisville, KY), with producer/engineer Anne Gauthier, that he claims no one has heard.
Armed with two new songs, Sean contacted us in early 2021 about producing a set of music videos to be their companion and ‘Life’s Hard’ was the first.
We were fortunate to film in the beautiful space that is La La Land (with Covid restrictions in place of course) and catch Sean and his studio companions in the process of recording the first track.
Sean is moving forward with more music this year, including a second single that we’re currently working on another video for.
